Jeff Day

Jeff is an award-winning director/screenwriter and co-founder of Lucky Day Studios, whose film, Unrequited is slated for its U.S. release in 2017 by Lionsgate Films.  His feature film, Faith, Love & Chocolate will also be released in 2017.  Co-founder of AthensWest Theatre Company, He is a three-time recipient of the Directing Award of Excellence from the Kennedy Center’s KCACTF.   Jeff received his MFA in Directing at the University of Utah in conjunction with Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute. He is member of the Screen Actors Guild, Writers Guild of America and Actors Equity Association.  He is currently the Director of Theatre & Cinema Performance at Asbury University.

Today the entertainment industry is enjoying the Second Golden Age of Television.  The demand is higher than ever for actors of all ages trained in film and TV acting.  All across the country, classically trained and university trained actors are seeking these type of classes.  With the recent influx of films being shot in Kentucky, opportunities are presenting themselves to local actors.  I’ve been teaching acting for TV and film for the last 30 years. Its a technique that works equally well for the stage.  Private or duo coaching sessions are available.
